The Next 24 Hours
- Avoid NG, catheter if possible
- Repeat CT – 24 hours – if no haemorrhage give:
- Aspirin 300mg
- DVT prophylaxis
Monitor for Complications

- Neurological deterioration - New headache - Decreasing level of consciousness - Fatigue - Vomiting - Acute hypertension | - Rash - Urticaria - Bronchospasm - Orolingual Angioedema - Hypotension - Shock | - Identify site and involve relevant specialty |
- Stop Alteplase - Urgent CT Head - Check clotting - If haemorrhage on CT - speak to Neurosurgery ± cryoprecipitate - discuss with Haematology | - Stop Alteplase - Follow Anaphylaxis Protocol | - Stop Alteplase - Pressure on bleeding point - Check clotting screen - Discuss with Haematology |
