Diagnostic Tips:
- Usually rapid growth
- Suspect keratotic nodules with thickened base
- Predominantly arise on sun-exposed, sun damaged sites
- Most commonly affected areas are back of hands, forearms, scalp, lower lip, pinna
- Organ transplant patients or other immunosuppressed patients are at risk
Referral Tips:
- URGENT
- Please state size of lesion
- Please state length of time present or evolution of lesion
- Please photograph lesion (with consent) and attach to SCI Gateway referral
