Repatriation of Patients from Tertiary Hospitals
- Patients will sometimes need to return to DGRI after treatment in tertiary hospitals. If you receive a call from a team who wish to repatriate the patient, the process is as follows:
- Ask the referrer to contact the DGRI Clinical Site Manager (Capacity Team) – even if Out Of Hours
- Clinical Site Manager will suggest an appropriate consultant for the patient
- The transferring hospital will phone that consultant directly
