Diagnostic tips:
- Slow growing over months to years
- History of non-healing and bleeding
- Majority occur on head and neck, any part of body can be affected
- Skin coloured with pearly rolled edge (stretching the skin often accentuate the pearly edges)
- Central crust or erosion
- Less common variants include pigmented and morphoeic
Referral tips:
- Soon referral
- Please state size and location of lesion
- Please photograph lesion (with consent) and attach this to the SCI Gateway referral
